The effect of minocycline on beta-amyloid-induced memory and learning deficit in male rats: A behavioral, biochemical, and histological study

•Minocycline hydrochloride has neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-apoptotic properties.•Beta-amyloid (Aβ) is involved in memory and learning deficits.•The hippocampus is the main part of the brain influenced by Aβ.•Minocycline reduced memory and learning deficit after Aβ injection, which may be due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effects.
