•Enterococcus bacteremia cases were enrolled retrospectively over a decade timeframe.•E. faecalis and E. faecium constitute the majority at 93.5%.•Significant mortality was associated with enterococcus bloodstream infection.•Low rates for ampicillin and vancomycin resistance.•Enterococcus bacteremia carries high mortality in CKD and cancer patients.
