摘要
Mobility is necessary for daily activities. It also depends on the available transport modes, and when modes such as personal cars run on fossil fuels, the mobility becomes unsustainable. This chapter explores how coworking spaces and chrono-urbanism can form part of a policy package that can be used to encourage sustainable mobility in a car-dependent society, Malta. For this purpose, we apply a mixed-methods approach to collect questionnaire data on travel behaviour and we conduct semi-structured interviews with local councils to identify their opinions about coworking spaces and timed-city concepts. Furthermore, we review and evaluate transport-related policies in ex-ante and ex-post scenarios of the pandemic. The views of the local councils are promising, but the existing policy and its implementation need improvement.
