Optimization of training through the use of digital technologies

Modern students are from the so-called digital generation and place high demands on the way of studying and acquiring knowledge at the university. The paper describes the creation and use of a serious game that supports the assimilation of theoretical material by students from the Department of Health Care at the University of Ruse Angel Kanchev. The created game is described in detail, as well as the technical part of the development. The game has been tested on students and the feedback shows that it helps to master the learning material and is liked among the participants in the study. The future development of the game envisages adding new levels, including other topics from the training material for students of the Department of Health Care, improving the interface, adding multimedia content and improving user feedback.
