The Hybrid Factor Analysis and Analytic Network Process (F'ANP) model modified: Assessing community social resilience in Tehran metropolis

•The hybrid factor analysis and analytic network process model (F'ANP) is modified.•Subjective judgements in ANP are replaced by data-driven matrices in F'ANP model.•Problem structuring and network model construction are simplified and rationalized.•Construction of pair-wise comparison matrices are reduced considerably.•Its application to Tehran's social resilience shows that F'ANP is a robust model.
