Detection of ESBLs types blaCTX-M, blaSHV and blaTEM resistance genes among clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Pseudomonas (P.) aeruginosa is a leading cause of nosocomial infections in most part of the world. The production of extended spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) is an essential mechanism of ß-lactam resistance in these bacteria. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of ESBL types blaTEM, blaSHV, and blaCTX-M in P. aeruginosa isolates from the patients hospitalized in Emam Reza Educational Hospital in Tabriz, northwest of Iran.
