EFFECT OF SEVERE FOOD RESTRICTION ON BLOOD PRESSURE REGULATION IN THE FEMALE SPRAGUE DAWLEY RAT

When compared to F344, we found similar trends in baseline MAP immediately following food restriction and months after refeeding. We did not detect a blunting of the ANGII response immediately following food restriction as in F344. We did find similarities between F344 and SD in response to ANGII months after refeeding. Food restriction appears to create a robust change in the response to ANGII months after refeeding, that is not strain specific.
