摘要
In this paper, we investigate the interference generated by the High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) deployments to the Terrestrial Networks (TNs) and quantify interference impact on the TN performance for the co-channel and adjacent channel deployment scenarios. For each case, both the unsynchronized Time-Division Duplexing (TDD) and synchronized TDD scenarios are considered. For the co-channel case, we observe that the synchronized TDD scenario requires a smaller inter-system distance than the unsynchronized case with respect to either the 5th percentile loss in spectral efficiency (SE) or the 95th percentile of the interference-to-noise ratio (I/N). For the adjacent channel case, we conclude that the resulting I/N is always below the minimum threshold of -6dB for both unsynchronized and synchronized scenarios. In addition to considering the full buffer traffic model, we also present results for a bursty traffic model under varying traffic loads.
