摘要
The objective of this research is to adapt and validate the Big Five OPERAS Personality Scale (Vigil-Colet et al., 2013a) in two independent samples from six Chilean universities (cross validation): N=444, 74.5% of women of 20.33 years and N=466, 76.0% of women aged 19.18 years old. The internal validity evidence indicates the presence of five personality factors that explain 42.9% and 41.9% of the total variance with adequate internal consistency values (.67 and .84). The traits show medium-high correlations with measures of resilience, self-efficacy, and academic stress (evidence of convergent validity) and low correlations with motivation (evidence of discriminant validity). All results were obtained by controlling social desirability and acquiescence. In addition, , test scores are provided for both sexes. In conclusion, the OPERAS is a a psychometrically adequate instrument for the Chilean university population.
