JPEG Steganography Based on Successive Cancellation Decoding of Polar Codes

摘要
Steganography is the science of concealing information. The most promising approach in modern steganography is to embed secrete message while minimizing distortion. For this purpose, practical codes, through syndrome coding, are used. Polar codes are the first capacity achieving codes and are used in spatial steganography. This paper proposes a JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) steganography based on Successive Cancellation (SC) of polar codes. Simulation results, based on Peak Signal to Noise Ratios (PSNR) and embedding efficiency, prove that the proposed method provides better performance than STC (Syndrome Trellis Codes)
