Design of Co-based amorphous alloys with magnetocaloric effect near room temperature

•A Co-based amorphous alloy with magnetocaloric effect near room temperature was designed successfully by modulating the chemical compositions.•The Curie temperatures of Co-based amorphous alloys increase linearly with the increasing of Co content.•This work provides a new strategy to regulate the magnetic transition temperature of Co-based amorphous alloys.
