Quiver from a burial of the odintsovo culture (on materials of the site strashny yar-1)

During excavations of an inlet burial of the Odintsovo culture at the Strashny Yar-1 monument near Barnaul (Altai Territory, Russia), a characteristic object complex was discovered. These finds have already been published and analysed in detail. An exception was a birchbark quiver, which has been preserved in fragments. Its graphic fixation during excavations and an attempt to reconstruct it in the laboratory has provided sufficient information to determine similarities and date the still relatively rare item. In addition, the need for the restoration of this find was identified. The published results of this work create a prospect for further research and the restored quiver will find a place in the exposition of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography of the Altai State University.
