Single-atom catalysts for chemical and electrochemical reactions

Single-atom catalysts (SACs) have received wide attention owing to their high atomic utilization efficiency and exotic catalytic properties. This review aims to provide a comprehensive summary on the recent development of SACs for various chemical and electrochemical reactions. The discussion starts with a brief introduction of SACs. In recognition of the extensive applications of SACs, the catalytic studies are then dissected in terms of various important chemical reactions and electrochemical reactions. We finally summary and outlook the remaining challenges and opportunities for the development of SACs for the targeted reaction.
