Network analysis of psychiatric symptoms in schizophrenia: Findings from the Research on Asian Psychotropic Prescription Patterns for Antipsychotics (REAP-AP)

•Mapping the symptom structure by using network analysis can help to understand the nature of schizophrenia.•Network analysis revealed that verbal aggression, hallucinations, and social dysfunction were the most central symptoms.•The connection between social dysfunction and verbal aggression was the strongest edge.•Central symptoms should be addressed when developing targeted treatment strategy for schizophrenia patients.
