摘要
•According to EIS the coating with 10 mg/m2 of Paraloid-B72 + BBT reached 89.8% inhibition efficiency.•Mixed-type adsorption can be rationalized by electrostatic interactions and covalent bonding between BBT molecule and the metal surface.•The BBT protective film, formed on the metal surface, is almost inert against nucleophilic and electrophilic attacks as Fukui functions revealed.
