A new digital soil mapping method with temporal-spatial-spectral information derived from multi-source satellite images

•“Temporal-spatial-spectral” information was used for DSM.•DWT and spectral band segmentation methods were used to fuse multi-source data.•Terrain factors with a high separability in different soil classes were identified.•Discussed how the soil classification method can be used in soil class investigation.
