摘要

•This is the first study to report the npgl molecule in a fish model.•The highest npgl mRNA was observed in the telencephalic-preoptic complex of male tilapia and the ovary of female tilapia.•The npgl mRNA is exclusively expressed in the Ppa of the telencephalic-preoptic complex in male tilapia.•NPGL may be a short term satiety factor in teleost.
