摘要
•This study contributes to the screening of antifungal and nematicidal activities of some ethnomedicinal plants against soil-inhabiting phytopathogens.•In the present study, fifteen ethnomedicinal plants were tested for in vitro antifungal and nematicidal activities against causative and soil-inhabiting destructive diseases.•The current results indicated that selected ethnomedicinal plants have the influence of nematicidal and antifungal activities and can be utilized as natural agents to the management of soil-borne phytopathogens .•Almost all selected plants extracts suppressed and inhibited the mycelial growth of fungi and nematode.•In the future, the extract of piper betel, allium sativum and cassia fistula can be applied for the management of soil-borne phytopathogens, which is also environment-friendly and can minimize the risks.
