Chemical profiling, antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory and in silico modeling of Rosmarinus officinalis L. and Artemisia herba alba Asso. essential oils from Algeria

摘要
•GC–MS analysis of rosemary and wormwood essential oils exhibited their abundance in oxygenated monoterpenes.•Rosmarinus officinalis L. oil was rich in eucalyptol as the main constituent, followed by camphor.•Artemisia herba alba Asso. oil was characterized by the high amount of β-copaene, limonene, eucalyptol and camphor.•Rosemary oil was efficient for antioxidant abilities and anticholinesterase inhibitory.•Wormwood oil exhibited remarkable antidiabetic activity.•Molecular modeling indicated the interaction of chemical constituents with studied enzymes.
