摘要
•An immune-related gene MSR1 was identified by integrated bioinformatics analysis.•MSR1 is characterized by chromatin accessibility and associated with poor prognosis of gastric cancer patients.•MSR1 mediated M2 macrophage polarization by regulating arginine and proline metabolism.•MSR1 promotes the progression of gastric cancer by facilitating M2 polarization of macrophages.
