Construction of Z-scheme heterojunction C3N4/N-CQDs@W18O49 for full-spectrum photocatalytic organic pollutant degradation

•A full-spectrum driven Z-scheme heterojunction C3N4/N-CQDs@W18O49 was fabricated.•The photocatalyst exhibited good activity for organic pollutant degradation.•The Z-scheme and LSPR effect contributed to the two charge-transfer mechanism.•N-CQDs were found to facilitate charge separation in both of the two mechanisms.
