Flavone-1,2,3-triazole derivatives as potential α-glucosidase inhibitors: Synthesis, enzyme inhibition, kinetic analysis and molecular docking study

•Synthesized two series of flavone-1,2,3-triazoles bearing the triazole moiety at 4′ position.•Flavone-1,2,3-triazoles displayed excellent to good inhibition against α-glucosidase enzyme compared to standard acarbose.•Kinetic analysis of most active derivatives revealed the mixed or uncompetitive nature of their inhibition.•Further blind docking studies supported the inhibitory nature of the compounds.
