Growth and scintillation properties of Eu doped Li2SrCl4/LiSr2Cl5 eutectic

摘要
•The colorless, transparent Eu-doped Li2SrCl4/LiSr2Cl5 eutectic was grown.•Both phases showed Eu2+ 4f-5d emissions at 401 and 412 nm.•A light yield of ∼5,600 photons/5.5 MeV α-rays was achieved.•The scintillation decay time under α -ray excitation was 312 ns.
