摘要
Neonatal respiratory distress syndrome(RDS),also known as hyaline membrane disease,is a leading cause of neona-tal mortality in the US,which affects 1%of all newborns and 10%of preterm babies[1,2].It is also one of the most common causes of admission to neonatal intensive care unit[3].Preeclampsia(PE)is a common pregnancy complication that affects an estimated 5%of pregnancies across the world[4].It is a significant cause of low birth weight and preterm delivery, which are risk factors for RDS[5].However,in the literature, the relationship between PE and RDS remains con-troversial[6-9].
