We proposed an approach for the preparation of substituted hexahydro-2 H -chromeno-[4,3- d ]pyrimidine-2,5-diones and studied their selective acylation and alkylation at the hydroxy group on the example of (4 R *,4a S *,10b R *)-diastereomers.
