Synthesis of a Bio-based Epoxy-carboxy Network and Its Reinforcement with Lignocellulose Nanofiber

Biobased epoxy-carboxy networks were synthesized by cross-linking reaction of tetra-functional epoxide derived from limonene oxide and polyhydric carboxylic acid. The corresponding biobased network polymer was reinforced using lignocellulose nanofiber (LCNF) derived from wine pomace. The tensile strength of LCNF-reinforced network polymer was around 5 times higher at maximum than that without LCNF.
