摘要
The replacement of missing teeth over the long term is a major challenge in implantology to regain chewing function and aesthetics. However, following the surgical procedure, some problems such as a fracture of the bone, a lack of osseointegration or the occurrence of peri-implantitis affect the balance of the implant-bone system. Studies focus on optimizing the shape, material or surface topography. However, they consider that bone behavior like conventional elastic material. To consider its microstructure, the use of the micropolar elasticity to describe this living material is a judicious choice. The analysis of the internal stresses in response to an external stimuli on the implant-bone micropolar system will allow to optimize the size, the shape and the material of the implant by taking into account the contribution of the bone microstructure on its global behavior.
