Adaptive manufacturing equipment for changing conditions

The subject of our research is production equipment that is characterized by a high degree of flexibility and adaptivity. We use digital twins of product, process, sensors and production equipment, so that work tasks can be automatically planned and optimized based on simulations. The assembly of high-quality industrial goods offers a broad field of application. Characteristic here is the increasing number of product variants, leading up to unique items. This requires a wide variety of methods and technologies, ranging from human-friendly assistance systems in manual and hybrid assembly to fully automated systems.
