Single crystal investigation, Hirshfeld surface and interaction energy framework analyses of structure-directing interactions within two isomorphous Schiff's base multicomponent salts

摘要
•Two novel isomorphic Schiff's base multicomponent salts, 1 & 2 are prepared by SAG.•Short contacts are addressed by Hirshfeld surface analysis & 2D fingerprint plots.•Strong H−bond (17.8–25.1%) stabilizes crystal packing over other weak interactions.•Dispersive interaction energies are found to be −8.5 and −32.1 kJ/mol, for 1 and 2.•Lattice void calculations elucidate more compact packing for 2 than 1.
