•New species, Tipula (Ramatipula) dolabcorolla, sp. nov., Tipula (Ramatipula) spathulata, sp. nov.•New species of Ramatipula have been described for the first time since Ramatipula was established.•A key to the species of Ramatipula from world is presented.
