摘要
This paper selects the indicators for industrial site suitability and highlights the suitable and unsuitable areas for industries in Sargodha Division, Punjab, Pakistan. There have been a few studies that measured aspects of the sustainability of industrial systems in Pakistan in a very is an isolated way. Although a few studies in Pakistan have used indicators for assessing industrial site suitability, this is the first one in Punjab that checks the effects of normalization and fuzzy AHP technique on developing composite indicators. All the indicators will be used to identify the potential areas where industries can be started easily. A set of criterion has been initiated to evaluate the suitable sites for the industries using Fuzzy AHP technique which helps to identify different scenarios. With the help of GIS and remote sensing, and by analysing the past and current spatial dataset, industrial site selection becomes mechanical and instant. The focus of this study defines the solution for the identification of appropriate and good locations for industrial setup in Sargodha division using Geographical information system based fuzzy analytic hierarchal process.
