摘要

•A method to synthesize a high-purity NaCl-UCl3 binary eutectic was demonstrated.•A similar method was used to synthesize a high-purity LiCl-KCl-UCl3 ternary salt.•Chemical analyses and diffractometry confirmed the predominant presence of UCl3 in the synthesized salts.
