摘要

•Merocyanine was introduced in some of crosslinking points of PNIPAM-based microgel systems.•These microgels self-assembled in a photonic colloidal glass.•The colloidal photonic glasses displaying vivid structural colours and fluorescence.•Fluorescence intensity was dependent on the microgel concentration and therefore, dependent on the colour.
