One-shot multi-object tracking using CNN-based networks with spatial-channel attention mechanism

•A new online one-shot multi-object tracking method is proposed.•Our method can improve tracking accuracy without generating additional parameters.•The attention mechanism together with joint detection and embedding is newly developed.•A new loss function is designed to distinguish similar instances within a class.•Results convince the effectiveness of our method in various multi-object tracking scenarios.
