Electrochemically functionalized carbon cloth for simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid, dopamine, and uric acid

•Functionalized carbon cloth (FCC) was obtained by electrochemical treatment of carbon cloth.•The type and number of functional groups can be adjusted by electrochemical parameters.•The type and number of functional groups affect the electron transfer rate.•FCC showed high sensitivity and selectivity toward the detection of AA, DA, UA.
