摘要
Passiflora caparaoensis, a new species of Passiflora (Passifloraceae s.s.), is described and illustrated from the northern portion of the Serra da Mantiqueira, Minas Gerais state, Brazil. This new species is similar to P. campanulata in having a villous stem, hirsute petioles and sepals, 3-lobed leaf blades, sepals and bracts with central vein, aristate at apex and triseriate corona. However, it is clearly distinguishable by the absence of glands in petioles, stipules with one central vein, aristate at apex, slightly dentate and gland-tipped at margin, with sparse indument abaxially and glabrous adaxially, corona filaments white with vinaceous to purple bands, and glabrous ovary and fruit. A taxonomic key to the similar species of P. section Dysosmia in the Serra da Mantiqueira is provided, based on flower and vegetative characters.
