•Over 80% of patients undergoing transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) are White.•Racial minorities undergoing TEER have more comorbidities than White patients.•Black and Hispanic patients are less likely to access high-volume transcatheter edge-to-edge repair centers.•Hispanic patients are 3 times more likely to die during admission for TEER.
