Quantification of mitral regurgitation after transcatheter edge-to-edge repair: Comparison of echocardiography and patient-specific in silico models

•Standardized quantitative echocardiographic methods were evaluated for assessment of residual MR after TEER.•The 3D volumetric, 3D VCA and 3D PISA methods showed excellent agreement with the reference MR severity with a bias ≤10%.•3D echo may become the noninvasive imaging tool of choice for MR quantification after transcatheter mitral interventions.
