•A novel MOF/COF hybrid was designed and synthesized.•Ce-MOF/TPN-COF/CNT based immunosensor was fabricated to sensitively detect CA125.•The unique structure of Ce-MOF/TPN-COF/CNT contribute to the excellent electrochemical properties.•The proposed immunosensor exhibited good performance.
