Graph embedding based ant colony optimization for negative influence propagation suppression under cost constraints

•The idea of swarm intelligence is introduced, and the positive feedback mechanism of ant colony is used to simulate the spread of negative influence.•Graph embedding technology is used to reconstruct the relationship between nodes in the network.•This method can select cost-effective suppression nodes with limited cost, and can effectively prevent the spread of the node’s negative influence in different communities.•This research can play an important role in the fields of epidemic prevention and control, rumor spreading and so on.
