The Anion-Directed Self-Assembly of Tubular Helical Silver (I)-Based Coordination Polymers and the Adsorption Properties of Hazardous Substances

Upon binding with silver salts, silver(I)-based tubular-shaped coordination polymers 1 and 2 were constructed via cooperative Ag-N/Ag-S coordination interactions. The weak anion coordination interaction played crucial role in the self-assembly of tuba-shaped helical coordination polymers. Moreover, these helical CPs 1–2 have an irregular tube-like channel in the crystal structure and can capture iodine and MnO4- anion from their aqueous solution.
