Antibacterial Effects In article number 2200548, Xu Yu, Li Xu, Itamar Willner, and co-workers show that the Au3+-metal-organic framework nanoparticles (NMOFs) nanozymes reveal dual oxidase-like and peroxidase-like activities and act as an active catalyst for the catalyzed generation of O2•− under aerobic conditions or •OH in the presence of H2O2. The two reactive oxygen species agents cooperatively formed by Au3+-NMOFs are applied for cell death and inhibition of cell proliferation of S. aureus and E. coli bacterial colonies.
