•Nanolamellae within microlamellae is in as-cast γ grain.•As-cast γ grain contains abundant dislocations and interfaces.•Disordered and partially ordered nanolamellae alternately form microlamella.•Model describing orientation relations of all nano-/micro-lamellae is established.
