摘要

•We measured soil profile CO2, CH4 and N2O across multiple crop rotations.•Only the CO2 concentration profile differed with crop type due to diffusivity.•The concentration gradient method underestimated CO2 fluxes in a drought year.•We provide evidence of depth dependent CH4 and N2O consumption.•CO2 was biologically consumed in deep soil incubation.
