摘要
This paper presents a detail design of a novel microstrip transducer for the measurement of ultra-wideband electromagnetic pulses (UWB-EMP). The transducer is based on two microstrip structures, which are set on the upper and lower surfaces of a shielding box composed of the ground planes of the microstrip structures. Pure water with high permittivity is used as the dielectric substrate to extend the time window obviously. By the subtraction operation of two outputs from the two microstrip structures, the interferences feeding into the transducer in common mode can be eliminated effectively. The proposed transducer has a wide bandwidth of about 3.5 GHz, and a long time window of 12.4 ns. Within the time window, the transducer can directly recover the incident field with high fidelity, which is a good candidate for the design of UWB-EMP measurement system.
