Paddy moisture on-line detection based on ensemble preprocessing and modeling for combine harvester

•A system for paddy moisture content on-line detection during harvest was developed.•Field-like conditions were implemented to evaluate the system performance.•ELM model couple with ensemble preprocessing had particular advantages for system.•Validation test showed that the system had enough robustness.
