摘要
•Hydroxyl-based anionic ionic liquid surfactant [DPbim][DS] was synthesized for the first time.•Micellization features of [DPbim][DS] were studied by various methods.•Foaming ability, foam stability, and FCI confirmed that hydroxyl group was beneficial for foam performances.•DFT simulation interpreted that foam performances of ILS depended on interactions between ILS and water molecules.
