Concurrent Muscle Flap with Infra-Inguinal Bypass Is Associated with Multiple Morbidities, Including Higher Wound Complications

Muscle flaps are typically used to salvage infected, but functional, lower extremity bypasses. Nevertheless, they have occasionally been used prophylactically, concurrent with the bypass, presumably to mitigate anticipated wound complications. However, few data are available supporting these benefits.
