•Lung cancer cells have developed resistance to practically all types of chemotherapeutic treatments, and drug resistance is responsible for 80–90 percent of cancer-related fatalities.•Bioinformatics analysis is a useful and successful tool for predicting essential genes and pathways in various activities, including chemoresistance.•The findings presented that the expression of CEACAM1, DGKA, ARHGEF4, and THSD4 was altered following the induction of Cisplatin resistance in A549 cells.
