Supercapacitors: Fully 3D Printed and Disposable Paper Supercapacitors (Adv. Mater. 26/2021)

To power the next generation of Internet-of-Things devices invading our homes, fully printed and disposable power supplies are envisioned. In article number 2101328, sustainable supercapacitors are designed from the bottom up by Gustav Nyström and co-workers, featuring a foldable design while being mainly composed of wood-derived materials. The monolithically integrated devices exhibit excellent electrochemical properties and combine digital material assembly, mechanical stability, and non-toxicity.
